Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use shopbite.de, including with a screen reader, with a keyboard only or with strong magnification. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Status

Based on our testing, this website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. The known limitations are listed below.

In our assessment we are not required to publish this statement, because the website is aimed at businesses. We publish it anyway so you know where things stand.

What we have implemented

  • Everything can be operated with a keyboard. A "Skip to content" link jumps past the navigation, and the keyboard focus is clearly visible.
  • Text and controls meet the contrast requirements, in light and in dark mode.
  • Animations can be paused and stay still if you have turned on reduced motion in your system settings.
  • Sliders, buttons and links have labels for screen readers. The results of the commission calculator are announced.
  • Pages are structured with headings and regions (header, navigation, main content, footer).
  • The website works from 320 pixels wide, which equals 400% zoom, without horizontal scrolling.
  • Links that open in a new tab are marked as such.
  • German and English content is marked up with its language.

How we tested

As of 14 September 2026: automated testing with axe-core on every page type (WCAG 2.2, levels A and AA, on desktop and smartphone, in light and dark mode), keyboard-only testing and a review of the accessibility tree. Testing with screen readers such as NVDA or VoiceOver is still outstanding.

Known limitations

  • Booking a call: The calendar embedded on the book a call page comes from the Cal.com software. We can only influence its accessibility to a limited extent. You can also arrange a call by email or phone, the contact details are below.
  • Documentation: The technical documentation contains code examples and tables that scroll horizontally on small screens.
  • Linked shops: The demo shop and our customers' shops are separate websites and not covered by this statement.

Report a barrier

If you run into a barrier or need content in a different format, email or call us. We will reply as soon as we can.
